Sandusky Council 546

The Knights of Columbus Council #546 was chartered on November 12, 1900 in Sandusky, Ohio and has been serving this community as a Catholic Fraternal Charitable organization since that time.

The Council Hall is located in downtown Sandusky at 614 Columbus Avenue in the G. A. Boeckling House.

Attention Business Owners

With the new Parlor and existing Hall we have a great opportunity for you to bring potential customers to the club for a scheduled event. Food and drink packages are available. See Tom Bodner, Gene Hudson, Larry Bedee, or Jerry Stoll for details.

Upcoming Events

We hope to see you down to the club this winter. The beer and wine are always cold. We will be hosting some special activities including the Feb. 3 Superbowl Party, Lenten Perch Dinners, March 16 St. Patty’s Day Party with Dinner & Dancing, & Membership Inquiry, and March 18 Reverse Raffle.

Volunteers Needed

We are in need of members to assist the club in various areas including: special events, bartending, home maintenance, cleaning, marketing, and grants. We are also looking for workers and team leaders to work fund raising events. Let us know how you can help. If we don’t hear from you we will be contacting you so save both of us some time and call to select a project where you can be of help.

Job Oppurtunity

The Club currently is looking for someone to actively market the hall to the community. This paid position is open to males or females, hopefully from the catholic community. This person would market the hall and parlor to catholic community, community groups, and handle details on rentals.

Resolution Reading

Be it resolved that Article 9, Section 2 of the code of the Home Association be amended to read that all monies dispersed shall be countersigned by a combination of two officers, except the treasurer, and/or a designated trustee.

The resolution will be voted on at the December 19, 2012 Home Association meeting.

Bloodmobile Drives

We have setu up an addtional date to host Blood Drives on:

The sesion will run from 1 – 6 PM.

Special thanks to Kathy Fitz who volunteers at every drive.  She is the person who makes those tasty sandwiches.

Columbian Squires News

The Squires would oke to thank the Puckrin Family for letting us sell sweet corn and melons at their corn stand.  They also want to thank them for the donation they made to the Squire program.  The Squires would also like to thank everyone that came out and purchased sweet corn and meons in support of the Columbian Squires.

The Squires held their election of officers for the top four positions at their last meeting and the following will hold office this fraternal year.

Elections for the other positions will be held at the next meeting.
